About our Staff

Danie Ahdout is the Director of the Ramah Jerusalem Day Camp. She served as Assistant Director in 2007, 2008, and 2011.  Danie made aliyah from Florida in 2004.  She holds a B.ED specializing in Special Education and English along with an Israeli Teaching Certificate and works as a High School English teacher in the Israeli Public School System. Danie has also spent time working at Ramah Darom as a certified lifeguard and counselor. She is very excited about this first year as Director. Danie lives in Maale Adumim with her husband and two daughters.

Emmanuelle Moscovitz is the Assistant Director of the Ramah Jerusalem Day Camp. She served in this role in 2009 and 2010, and is happy about returning for 2012. Emmanuelle made aliyah from Montreal, and is fluent in English, Hebrew, and French. She is an experienced teacher, madricha, and gannenet, and holds an MA in Jewish History. During the year, she has been teaching for the Ramah Jerusalem High School (TRY).

Counselors and specialists are bilingual in Hebrew and English and, for the most part, have grown up in English-speaking families here in the greater Jerusalem area. All counselors have completed at least 10th grade, and specialists have completed high school or college.
